About This Trail
St. Marys Tabby Trail is a coastal multi-use route planned to connect historic downtown St. Marys with mid-town areas, the McIntosh Sugar Mill Tabby Ruins, Kings Bay-area corridors, and Crooked River State Park. It is one of the most important walking and biking connectors in Camden County and a natural fit for visitors planning a coastal Georgia outdoor day.
The trail is useful for cyclists, walkers, families, and visitors who want to link heritage sites, parks, and community destinations without relying only on a car. Because the route is described as a work in progress, users should check current completed segments and extension status before planning a long ride. The trail’s coastal setting means heat, sun, insects, and road crossings may shape the experience.
Before visiting, confirm open segments, parking, restrooms, and current city or tourism updates. Wear sun protection, bring water, and use caution at intersections, roadway crossings, and mixed-use areas.
Trail Notes
St. Marys Tabby Trail is a developing coastal connector, so visitors should confirm completed/open segments before planning a full route. Always leave no trace, pack out everything you pack in, and if you see trash, pick it up and pack it out.
Stay on the marked trail, tell someone where you're going, pack safety and wayfinding essentials, and do not rely only on a mobile phone to find your way. Practice good trail etiquette, yield appropriately on shared-use trails, and check the trailhead kiosk, official maps, park office, visitor center, city/county website, or land manager for notices about changed routes, closures, safety information, fees, traffic, wildlife activity, and restrictions before you go.
