About This Trail
The North Macon Trails offer a wooded escape at Theron Ussery Park, formerly North Macon Park. The listed 1.1-mile route has approximately 95 feet of elevation gain and uses the park’s connected paths near the community center and John Drew Smith Tennis Center.
The trail system includes the Yellow and White loops, with sections beside a tributary of Sabbath Creek. Expect some short descents and uneven ground rather than a completely level paved walk. Connecting paths allow different outings, so total mileage depends on the route you follow.
Start at the mapped trailhead in the park complex and use designated parking. Check posted trail information before heading out, take care at creek crossings and on wet surfaces, and follow current park rules.
