About This Trail
The PATH Foundation Trail at Panola Mountain is a paved multi-use route that connects visitors with the park’s rolling terrain, forested scenery, and the broader regional trail network linking Panola Mountain, Arabia Mountain, and nearby communities. It is a strong option for walkers, casual cyclists, families, and visitors looking for an accessible paved outdoor route east of Atlanta.
Although the trail is paved, it is not completely flat. Rolling grades, curves, road crossings, and mixed traffic mean visitors should stay alert and choose a comfortable distance. The trail works well for a short walk, a longer bike ride, or as part of a larger Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area outing. It also gives users a way to experience Panola Mountain’s landscape without joining a guided-only conservation-area hike.
Before visiting, check park hours, parking access, and current trail conditions. Share the path with walkers, runners, cyclists, families, and pets, and use extra care at crossings, hills, and busy trailheads.

Always leave no trace, pack out everything you pack in, and if you see trash, pick it up and pack it out.
Stay on the marked trail, tell someone where you're going, pack safety and wayfinding essentials, and do not rely only on a mobile phone to find your way. Practice good trail etiquette, yield appropriately on shared-use trails, and check the trailhead kiosk, official maps, park office, or ranger office for notices about changed routes, closures, safety information, fees, and restrictions before you go.
