These lake-specific notes highlight the recreation that is genuinely available here, along with the limits and practical details that shape a visit.
Lake Ozora is the larger fishing lake at Tribble Mill Park, with a public ramp and access to largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and other warmwater species. The surrounding 713-acre park makes it easy to combine fishing with trails and family recreation.
Lake Ozora allows manually powered craft and battery-powered motors. Kayaks, canoes, small electric fishing boats, and similar low-impact vessels fit the lake, while gasoline-powered boats are not part of the experience.
Tribble Mill Park includes a 3.4-mile paved trail plus unpaved hiking, mountain biking, equestrian, and cross-country routes. The trail network gives Lake Ozora one of the strongest land-based recreation settings among Georgia’s smaller county lakes.
Playgrounds, pavilions, grills, restrooms, open meadows, and extensive trails make Tribble Mill much more than a boat-ramp destination. Families can build a full day around the lake without needing to be on the water the entire time.
Gwinnett County permits swimming only in areas specifically designated for that use, and Lake Ozora is presented as a fishing and boating lake rather than a swim beach. Visitors should plan on fishing, paddling, trails, and park recreation instead.
