Savannah National Wildlife Refuge
Savannah National Wildlife Refuge is a federal refuge of more than 31,000 acres of freshwater marshes, tidal rivers, creeks, and bottomland hardwoods along the Savannah River in Georgia and South Carolina. Hunting opportunities include deer, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, feral hog, waterfowl, dove, and other species depending on unit and season. A Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex hunt permit and refuge-specific rules apply. Confirm current Georgia-side hunt units, permits, state licenses, access rules, harvest reporting, and property-specific federal regulations before visiting.
