Cumberland Island National Seashore Managed Hunts
Cumberland Island National Seashore hosts an annual series of scheduled managed hunts on Georgia’s largest barrier island. NPS uses managed hunts to support resource management goals and provide limited recreational hunting opportunities within designated areas. Hunters must register for the appropriate hunt, attend required check-in, and follow National Park Service hunt rules in addition to Georgia licensing requirements. Access is by ferry or private boat depending on hunt logistics. Confirm current hunt dates, registration windows, ferry or boat-access requirements, check-in location, licenses, and National Park Service regulations before visiting.
