The Almo Tract is a 6,700-acre tract within the Chattahoochee Fall Line WMA complex. hunting opportunities for buck, turkey, small game, and quail. The Chattahoochee Fall Line WMA complex was created through a partnership among DNR, The Nature Conservancy, and the U.S. Army at Fort Benning, protecting priority habitats and supporting restoration of fire-managed longleaf pine ecosystems beneficial to red-cockaded woodpeckers, gopher tortoises, and other imperiled species. No ATVs or horses are allowed. Check the kiosk daily for prescribed burning schedule and location. Confirm current access, licenses, seasons, burns, and WMA regulations before visiting.
