About Helen Oktoberfest

Helen's long-running Oktoberfest fills the Festhalle with German-style food, beer, live music, dancing, and fall celebration across multiple September weekends and nightly dates in October.

Helen Oktoberfest is the city's signature fall celebration at the Helen Festhalle. The 2026 season begins with three Thursday-through-Sunday September weekends, then runs nightly from October 1 through November 1. German-style food and beer, live bands, dancing, parade activity, a stein-holding competition, Halloween festivities, and Helen's Alpine-inspired downtown make it one of North Georgia's largest and longest-running fall events.
