Mountain Top Lodge at Dahlonega
At the end of the drive that curves across rolling pastures and then climbs to the top of the wooded mountain, stands a rustic cedar lodge flanked with spacious porches and large decks.
This is the Mountain Top Lodge at Dahlonega, a secluded rural retreat in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. It's just what you're looking for ... here among towering oaks, pines and a profusion of dogwoods, you'll find a special place for weekday or weekend getaways.
The Mountain Top Lodge is little over an hour's drive from Atlanta and only 5 miles from the quaint town of Dahlonega, site of America's first gold rush. Surrounding the town square are many authentic 19th century buildings where you can shop for antiques and mountain crafts. Numerous good restaurants are available for lunch and dinner. A short drive will take you to Amicalola Falls, the Appalachian Trail or Alpine Helen.
Hiking, horseback riding, canoeing and mountain biking are all nearby. Simply want to relax? There's a perfect spot in the Great Room or on the spacious decks, or watch the sun set from a rocker on the front porch. The opportunities are boundless - the choice is yours !
