Description:   Our instruction program is extensive - we teach everything from beginning classes to open-water instructor certification. We run scheduled courses throughout the year and are happy to create custom courses to suit specific interests or to accommodate groups. Tybee Island is known for its warm water, its tidal currents, its maze of flat-water tidal creeks, and its interesting surf zone ("the triangle")-a perfect combination for developing sea kayaking skills that can be translated to any environment. All of our instructors are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA), the British Canoe Union (BCU), or both. We offer the full range of ACA courses through open Water Instructor Certification with Expedition Leader Endorsement. We offer BCU training and certification through the 3 star level. Our courses cover the full range of ACA and BCU training and certification.

Southeastern Expeditions

Description:   Ever wanted to learn how to canoe or kayak? Southeastern Expeditions provides instruction for the first time boater who wants to learn basic paddling skills or the intermediate paddler who wants to practice technique. Our professional instructors are second to none and safety is paramount on all of our paddling excursions. Courses vary in length from 1 day samplers to intensive three day clinics. Instruction is available select weekends (as noted below) and most weekdays. Our canoe and kayak clinics include all gear, transportation, and lunch.
